Wild Rivers Private Nature Reserve

When entering Wild Rivers Nature Reserve, expect to be immersed in the vista of endless woodland and the majestic Drakensberg mountains that change colour as the day walks on. Meandering ever deeper into the Reserve, the secret rhythm of nature will envelope you and bring quiet to your soul. At the very end of the journey you will find the rivers that run free and wild. This is life as it is supposed to be…

Situated in the Greater Kruger Park Region, this scenic and pristine slice of exclusive African wilderness provides sanctuary to property owners that seek an authentic and secluded lifestyle experience in nature. Thirty two one-hectare stands are situated along 6 kilometer of river front with lush riparian forest that provides for a rich array of fauna and flora. Each of the 32 stands on Wild Rivers has unique river frontage views and building sites that are carefully located to ensure maximum privacy with generous distance from each other. The vast 2,600-hectare reserve bordered by both the Blyde and Olifants Rivers boasts a diverse landscape with rocky outcrops and savanna where plains game roam freely. Although elusive leopard wander in the shade of ancient trees and river banks are frequented by hippo and crocodiles, there are no “big five” animals on the Reserve, allowing residents to explore on foot. A network of gravel roads adds to the ambience of bush living where a trip to town becomes a safari.

Wild Rivers Private Nature Reserve is accessed from the R40 (Phalaborwa) road and an ideal gateway to a number of tourist destinations. The Reserve has magnificent views of the Northern Drakensberg that forms the Blyde River Canyon – the third largest canyon in the world. Surrounded by a choice of private game reserves as well as easy drives to two entrance gates of the internationally renowned Kruger National Park, Wild Rivers provides an ideal base for exploring the Lowveld. A mere ten kilometers from the Wild Rivers entrance gate, the vibrant little town of Hoedspruit offers a variety of shops, schools, restaurants, services and the Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport.

Ensuring a superb lifestyle experience, each of the 32, 1-hectare, full title stands is situated at the far western side of the Reserve on the banks of the Blyde and Olifants Rivers. An approximate six to ten kilometer drive from the entrance gate through well-wooded bushveld, ends in the residential section of the Reserve where properties are tucked away from main roads.

The existence of a number of low-population density nature reserves and conservancies as well as game farms bordering Wild Rivers Private Nature Reserve merits outstanding quality living in nature with the least amount of noise, air, traffic and light pollution. A remainder of approximately 2,600 hectares constitutes an equal share to the 32 home owners of the Reserve.

Strict architectural guidelines are maintained at Wild Rivers PNR. All structures must conform to specific standards of building in order to uphold a high level of aesthetic value and stringent measures are in place to minimize damage to the fragile riparian area. Exterior finishes such as plastered walls, earth tones and hidden lighting add to the serenity of the Reserve.

There are currently six developer stands available on Wild Rivers Private Nature Reserve.
